Twenty years, in his words
My name is Armin Amiri. I’m an actor, producer, and director.
I had a very challenging upbringing. I left my parents at a very young age and spent part of my childhood living in a refugee camp. Those experiences shaped me deeply, and today I spend much of my life creating stories that are about raising consciousness, exploring the human experience, and, in many ways, healing parts of myself from the past.
I believe that when you are the CEO of your own life, you need great advisors around you, people who can see things you sometimes cannot see yourself. Just as presidents have trusted advisors to help them navigate difficult decisions, I believe we all need people like that in our own lives.
For the past 20 years, Omar Kahn has been one of my closest and most trusted advisors.
Omar has always given me some of the clearest information I’ve received, without sugarcoating anything. Whether it was my career, my personal relationships, difficult decisions, or simply trying to understand what life was asking of me, Omar has always been someone I could turn to.
Four years ago, my mother passed away. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life. I was dealing with enormous grief and with the incredibly difficult process of accepting that it was time to let her go.
Omar was there for me every step of the way.
He told me that she was waiting for me to let her go into the light. He also told me that after she left this planet, she would send me signs that she was okay. One of those signs, he said, would be a white bird coming into my life.
At the time, I was living in California. One day, a white dove came to my house and sat directly in front of me. It barely moved. It simply looked at me for what felt like an eternity, almost eight minutes, before eventually flying away.
Whether you believe in signs, spirituality, or simply the mysterious ways that life connects us, that moment stayed with me. It was deeply meaningful to me, and I will never forget it.
Omar has been there for me not only through grief, but also throughout my career and personal life. He has helped me connect the dots, see situations from different perspectives, and make sense of moments that sometimes felt impossible to understand.
I believe we all need people in our lives who can help us see beyond what is immediately in front of us.
For me, Omar is that person.
After 20 years of friendship, guidance, and countless conversations, I can honestly say that having Omar in my life has been a gift. He has been a trusted advisor, a friend, and someone whose perspective I deeply value.
